Building

In the new year we welcomed Charissa here who made such an impact! She may never leave now.

Sebastian and Emma have become regular visitors and nurturers or the place.

The  wooden house bathroom kitchen is coming along well now

And Judi made an irrigation channel

A finished roof edge

The trailer became a 'camping trailer'

Kelly was determined to provide us with a pool and worked long and hard on this. It's not yet finished, but I hope to finish it soon.

We began a new room called the store room

And decided it was time for a luxury teenage zone for my son

Almost finished now

Animals on the farm

August

This month, Tanja Claire and I finished all the flooring we will do for now. Claire did wonders in the garden and Tanja created a piece of artwork which will serve as a temporary wall (which could be here for years though). Sebabstian arrived and reorganised the recycling centre and the shed.... I am just about finding everything again now.

The 'creature', a scalapendra or cienpies, couldn't get out of the washing up bowl one morning. It can sting like a small scorpion and some of you will remember that I had a difficult night sleeping with one in July. We saw this one off and we hope it was my visitor and that it will never return again. I still check my bed before I get in it every night.

Click below the big arrow in the slideshow, then it won´t take you to another page, then click the small arrow. Hope you enjoy ....

New additions to the family, floors and tomatoes

Here is Aragon, our new dog, taken off the streets in our village. He was in a poor state, but is now doing extremely well. Thanks to all who kindly donated.

And this is the new kitten, who arrived as an Esme, but on closer inspection turned out to be a Ramos (Sergio).

Kitchen is coming along nicely now

So Lisa was able to make her wonderful chocolate self-sourcing pudding. IT´S FANTASTIC!!

A welcome return to Anne, Karsten and Darius, with Helene, their new baby, who spent some time here last year but didn't see much as Anne was always in the way.

We had had enough of gravel floors, so we made them all into lime ones, which dry very pale.

Here´s Claire and Tanja preparing for yet another bit of floor

Tomatoes were ripening faster than we could eat them, so we started drying them. YUMMY!!

Hotting up!

Such a lush month with rain still stored in the soil

The house windows are almost complete

Olivia discovered that she loved playing with bottles and cans, while she built this wall, in the wooden house bathroom de basura.

The corn really took off, I was so proud if it, as Olivia and Bryan knew....

..and it grew to this in just a couple of weeks!

Just when we needed it most, the alberque started to leak considerably. Luckily Bryan came to the rescue as he could think of nothing he'd rather do than get sweaty and dirty in a hot hole in the ground!

All change, May days

Many more volunteers and a little more great work accomplished.

Aaron made this beautiful window

Our friends came to visit from near and far

And the alberque was still a bit chilly!!
